Amid ongoing trade disruptions, government and business responses have largely focused on crisis response, leaving little time for comprehensive planning for the future of Canada–US trade. Compounding this challenge is uncertainty around the reliability of trade data. Without accurate, timely data, policies risk diverging from actual economic realities, potentially harming domestic industries and missing key opportunities for growth.
