About the event
U.S. President Donald Trump’s announced plans for a 25% tariff on imports from Canada is driving heightened concern over risks to security and supply chains between the world’s largest bilateral trading partners. Ontario, Canada’s largest exporter to the United States could see industries such as advanced manufacturing (including autos), mining, and others drastically undermined. At the same time, the government of Ontario and leading industries are poised to take a leadership role in pushing back against the worst effects of the tariff and developing strategies to avoid them entirely.
Join Future Borders Coalition, Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters, and Ontario Chamber of Commerce for a working group session to design a plan to mitigate risks and strengthen supply chains. Using Premier Ford's Fortress Am-Can as a point of departure, this session will discuss alignments and opportunities in manufacturing, natural resources, services, transportation and more. This will be an invitation-only, Chatham House event. For questions, please contact…
