About the event
The Canada–U.S. Future Borders Coalition will convene a high-level, invitation-only roundtable in Ottawa to address the growing challenges of organized crime proliferation and illicit trade along the Canada–U.S. northern border.
Participants will include border security experts, law enforcement leaders, policymakers, legislators, and stakeholders from both countries. Discussions will focus on actionable strategies to disrupt the movement of illicit goods—including drugs, weapons, tobacco, and trafficked persons—and reduce organized crime infiltration at the border. This gathering comes at a pivotal moment, following the passage of Bill C-2, The Strong Borders Act, and amid a renewed emphasis on Canada–U.S. border cooperation.
Objectives
