Mike McNaney

Mike McNaney is Chief External Affairs Officer at Vancouver International Airport (YVR), and Co-Chair of the Future Borders Coalition. He is responsible for YVR’s Government Relations, Indigenous Relations, Corporate Communications and Strategic Customer Relationship teams.

Prior to joining YVR in 2022, he had a lengthy career within the Canadian air carrier sector. Through more than two decades in commercial aviation he has held various management and executive positions and engaged on public policy matters impacting border and security facilitation, air access, infrastructure development, regulatory modernization, consumer protection, aviation taxation, climate change. During the Pandemic he was a member or chaired various industry – government working groups piloting the sector’s recovery.

He is a former Board Member of the Tourism Industry Association of Canada, and the National Airlines Council of Canada. He has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Queen’s University, Kingston ON, Canada.
